Apple Volume Purchasing Program (VPP) and Moki

Signing up for VPP

  1. Go to http://www.apple.com/business/vpp/

  2. Click “Enroll Now”

  3.
  4. Fill out the required information

  5.
  6. Enable Two-Factor Authentication on your Apple ID Account

  7. Return to https://deploy.apple.com

  8. Login and provided business details

    1. You must acquire a DUNS (Dun & Bradstreet) number. To do this go to https://iupdate.dnb.com

    2. You can complete this process online and in one session but bear in mind this registration is for your business. If you work for a large corporation you may already have a DUNS assigned so find out first.

  9. Confirm and submit your information

  10. You will be forced to login again to https://deploy.apple.com

  11. Select Volume Purchasing Program > Get Started

  12. Next you must configure your account to work in the enterprise app store and accept the terms and conditions

  13. Choose your apps and start the purchase process for one

  14. Next you will be prompted to supply billing info to the enterprise app store which should just consist of adding your stored account card security code

  15. Once you have confirmed your billing information you will need to download your Managed Distribution token for upload into Moki. Save that token and upload it to your Moki account

    • Two Critical Notes about your VPP token
      1. You can only use one VPP account in Moki. If you have multiple accounts or sub tenants with need of VPP licensing you will need one VPP account per Moki account. This is a limitation Apple places on these accounts.

      2. You must update your token every 365 days or every time you change your iTunes account password.

Adding your token to Moki

Once you have successfully created your VPP account and downloaded your token, you will need to upload that token to Moki. Follow these instructions:

  1. Login to mokimanage.com

  2. Click on “Account Settings”

  3.
  4. Scroll down to the “VPP Setup” section of settings and click on the “Upload”:

  5.
  6. Once uploaded your “VPP Setup” section will look like this:

  7.
  8. If you have already acquired licenses for apps from VPP you will see them in your Apps tab. These apps will have a “Yes” next to them:

  9.
  10. Clicking on the app details will show you a new VPP information tab which shows your license statistics:

  11.
  12. You will also notice a new “Sync VPP Now” button on the app page. Clicking this button will add any newly licensed apps automatically into your Moki account:

NOTE:

  • Uploading your token to Moki will immediately sync all of your licensed apps to Moki.

  • Thereafter, our servers sync nightly with Apple to update your apps and licenses.

  • If you wish to update your current apps or license counts based on recent purchases you can click the VPP Sync button.

  • Your apps will not be available to Moki until you have received a purchase confirmation email from Apple.

  • Frequently apps are available to Moki nearly instantaneously but note that it can take up to 10 minutes at times for Apple to communicate account changes to Moki so you may need to wait if your most recent purchase isn’t visible.
